Chrissy is my long lost sister. We've only known each other for 5 years but I'm glad we met just in time for her to be a part of my wedding day. Since I was a little girl I dreamed of one day meeting my sister. It finally happened in 2012. Since that time we have been sisters as if we've known each other our whole lives. Happy to have her as a bridesmaid.
Taneisha is my step-sister. When my dad and her mother married we became the best of friends. I can remember us hanging out all summer long. Enjoying sleepovers and later vacationing together as we became older. We have great memories together to share with our daughters. She's been there for every special moment in my life. She's loving, caring and God-fearing. I'm thankful to have her as a sister and a bridesmaid.
They say cousins are your first best friends. Well this is true for me. When I was a little girl I looked up to my big cousin so much (she didn't like me to much lol) but I thought she was so cool. Today we're all grown up and couldn't be closer. I still look up to her as a successful entrepreneur. Pleased to have her as a bridesmaid in my wedding.
Shanyah is my youngest sister. I was obsessed with her when she was younger. Couldn't tell me she wasn't my child. I would talk about her like 24/7. I was a proud big sister. Today, I'm still a proud big sister. The fact that my baby sister is a Registered Nurse makes my heart smile. I secretly wish I was as focused in school and college as she was. I know the sky is the limit for this girl. I'm happy to have her by my side on my wedding day.
My sister! What can I say. Lord knows I'm thankful for my sister. Keisha is my best friend, my partner in crime and an exceptional Auntie to her niece. I depend on her for A LOT. She believes in me and she supports me in everything. I couldn't ask for more in a sister. I wouldn't have a bridal party without my sister to the left of me.
I met Katrina while working at PHA in 2007, when she pretty much forced me to be her friend lol. I can honestly say I'm so glad she did. Today, I'm blessed to call Katrina one of my best friends. Katrina is the person I'm comfortable sharing my (what I think are brilliant) ideas with for support and constructive feedback. We've recently become Business Partners, opening up our new Venue, Petite Fete II (Katrina's 2nd venue). The two of us together will be something amazing. In addition, she's a phenomenal "retired" wedding planner, so of course she's helping me every step of the way. I was a bridesmaid in her wedding and now I'm happy to have her as a bridesmaid in my wedding.
Carlene and I have been best friends since 3rd grade. Twenty plus years later nothing has changed. Today I look forward to our daily phone calls on our drive into work and drive home from work (yes, this is our daily routine). Our conversations are refreshing. We speak about our plans for the weekend, our future plans to vacation more, and our commitment to spend time with one another making great memories (basically the good life). Carlene is my Maid of honor. She's so on point with everything that I'm confident she'll do one hellava job. Thankful to have Carlene by my side through this journey.
Camelya.....my Matron of honor and best friend. We met in high school and have been by each other's side every since. I'm super proud of this girl and all of her accomplishments. I feel kinda dope to tell people "yes, that's my best friend that owns The House of Henri." We may not speak often or spend much time together but that doesn't change our relationship or our titles as best friends. What means the most to me is the support I receive from my family and friends and Camelya is at the top of my fan club. I love her so much and I'm happy to have her as my Matron of honor.

Aubrey is Cordeiro's daughter. Aubrey enjoys dancing and performing. She loves making us play family games and she's always on Shai's team lol. She's a great big sister to Kayleigh. We're blessed to have such a sweet, helpful daughter. Aubrey is excited to travel to Mexico to be a Junior Bridesmaid and see her dad and shai get married.
Kayleigh is our 3 year old daughter we share together. We have no idea what life was like before this little girl. When she's away from home for more than 2 hours we're missing her sweet face and funny comments. She had so much personality, no really. I know everyone thinks they're child has so much personality but Kayleigh's characteristics are something special. I just asked her what does she love so I can add it in this bio (expecting her to name her favorite toys). She replies "you and daddy" lol. She loves minnie mouse, wearing dresses and shoes, and having play dates with her friends. She's very excited about being a flower girl.
On Sunday, March 20th, 2016 Cord and I were on our way to dinner at Buddakan in Old City Philadelphia. During the drive in the car we were talking about marriage. Cordeiro mentioned we were in the process of buying a house so getting engaged and married was later down the line. I joked around saying I'm not worried about getting engaged I won't hold my breathe for that moment. While we waited for our food I went to the restroom (I almost feel down the steps lol). When I returned I sat and the waiter came over and placed a box in front of me and said this is from a special someone. Boy was I confused. I looked at Cord and said who is this from? Cord look goofy and said I don't know. Me still looking puzzled, opened the box and saw the engagement ring. I asked Cord if it was from him. He said yes. I was still confused since we just had a conversation about marriage having to wait until later down the line and we were also buying a house so where the heck did he get the money from to purchase a ring. Cord then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I asked him was he serious lol (I was still confused!!!). Then he said yes or no. I said yes, he pulled me up and hugged me. We sat back down and I said "so we're not buying a house anymore?" He smile and said yes we're still getting our house. After I finally realized he just proposed to me and I'm not engaged, I started crying and say Thank you lmbo. It was awkward to sit there and continue eating with this new ring on my finger and none of my family and friends know what just happened. When we left the restaurant Cord told me to call everyone and tell them we're engaged. I Facetime'd all of my closest friends. I didn't tell them right away. I waited to see if they would notice the new bling. Most of them noticed right away. The end!
Cord and I met at an event in 2012 hosted by Sophisticated City Girls. He was the DJ for the event and I was a member of the organization. Later that evening I reached out to Cord on "Instagram" asking him for his rates to DJ a family Barbecue. He responded with his phone number and told me to text him. I texted Cord that night, we went on a date a week later and have been together every since.
Shai and I met at a gig I was DJ'ing for a back to school charity event. She was checking me out and kept asking me if I wanted anything to drink. Small talk through text about another DJ gig turned into a bad first date at habichis lol. Surprisingly, we talked the next day which led to a movie date in the house "Think like a man" and we haven't stop talking since.
